About Laura Bardell
I am an artist and teacher working in oil paint on canvas and board. I studied Art at Camberwell College of Art and Loughborough University where I gained a degree in Fine Art. I have previously taught art at secondary level.
My work is primarily focused on the local landscapes of Buckinghamshire & Oxfordshire. I am drawn to the quiet beauty of the land, the light and the ever changing aspects of time and seasons.
I find the physicality, texture and often timeless qualities of our surroundings a constant source of inspiration and challenge. I am also conscious of it’s fragility and seek to celebrate and respect the heritage of which we are caretakers.
